Dr. Jacob Azerrad

Jacob Azerrad, PhDDr. Azerrad is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience treating both children and adults. He has combined his initial training in psychoanalytic theory and later training in behavior therapy to achieve a highly effective short-term approach to therapy.

He interned at The Children's Hospital Medical Center in Boston, and has been on the faculty of the University of Virginia Medical School and Tufts University School of Medicine. He has taught at the New England Center for Behavior Modification, Lesley College, and was on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.

His practice, Behavior Therapy Associates of Lexington offers the following services:

  • Individual supervision for professionals
  • Positive parenting workshops for parents

Dr. Azerrad is the author of From Difficult to Delightful in Just 30 Days and Anyone Can Have A Happy Child: How to Nurture Emotional Intelligence. He has been on the faculty of the University of Virginia Medical School and Tufts University School of Medicine. In addition, he has been a guest expert on numerous radio and television shows including The Phil Donahue Show.
